S-CSO-C-S1-B-3 License Identity

S-CSO-C-S1-B-3 is a 3-year Juniper Contrail Service Orchestration cloud license for the Standard tier and device class B. Juniper's SKU grammar defines S as software, CSO as the product, C as cloud release, S1 as Standard, B as the device class and 3 as the term. It is not a switch, router or firewall appliance.

Class B device boundary

Juniper maps class B to NFX250 (2 vCPUs), SRX550M, SRX1500, and vSRX (5 vCPUs). Class B covers mid-range spoke and sub-gigabit hub roles. Standard licensing must be sized to the actual device class and tenant site count.

Validate the NFX250 size, SRX550M or SRX1500 role, 5-vCPU vSRX profile, WAN design and the number of sites assigned to the tenant.

3-year subscription decision

Use the three-year term when the tenant, device class and CSO operating model are expected to remain stable through a normal project cycle.

Review assignment and support records annually, test the operating model before month 18, and fund the next entitlement decision by month 30.

S-CSO-C-S1-B-3 operating evidence plan

For the three-year Class B term, document the distinct operating role of every NFX250 2-vCPU, SRX550M, SRX1500 or 5-vCPU vSRX site. Capture sub-gigabit throughput evidence, hub-versus-spoke designation, failover result and tenant quantity. The midpoint assessment should test whether traffic growth still fits Class B and whether an SRX1500 hub needs a different architecture before the final renewal window.

CSO assignment record

Before activation, reconcile the exact SKU, sales order, software support reference number, tenant or operating company, start date, device quantity and authorized Juniper account. CSO calculates the end date from the SKU validity, so retain the assignment and quantity record with the quote.
