Exact AFO order identity

QFX5100-96S-AFO combines AC power with Air Out cooling. In Juniper's product-number table, airflow travels from the port side to the FRU side. This direction is the defining procurement difference from the AFI orders.

The exact order row identifies 96 SFP+ and eight QSFP+ transceiver positions plus two management ports. Optics, cables and the intended Junos design still need to be checked separately for the required link speeds and breakout plan.

Cooling-side receiving checklist

At receipt, match the full AFO PID on the chassis and confirm every replaceable fan follows the same port-to-FRU exhaust direction. Juniper warns that different airflow modules must not be mixed in one chassis. Verify AC supply labels, rack hot-aisle orientation, management access and representative links before acceptance.

Do not substitute by port count

The DC-AFI order has the same transceiver count but a different facility-power requirement and the opposite cooling direction. A matching port inventory alone does not make those two orders interchangeable.
