USG6305E-AC Huawei Next-Generation Firewalls

Plan the WAN and Combo connections

USG6305E-AC is an AC-powered Huawei USG6000E firewall appliance. For original part 02353AEP, Huawei lists two GE WAN ports, eight GE Combo interfaces and two 10GE SFP+ interfaces. Keep the Combo group separate in the port schedule: its name does not establish sixteen independent connections. Confirm the required optics and cables against the intended links.

Establish what the base order includes

The manufacturer ordering description includes one AC power supply and SSL VPN support for 100 users. A second pluggable supply is an optional purchase for 1+1 redundancy; an M.2 SSD is also optional. Request an itemized inventory for the offered unit so that power redundancy, storage and additional subscriptions are not assumed from the chassis model alone.

Allow for the full installation envelope

The original 02353AEP record specifies a 1U chassis with typical dimensions of 442 x 420 x 43.6 mm. Including projecting front ports and rear module handles, maximum depth is 453 mm. Huawei specifies a cabinet at least 600 mm deep. The unpacked unit weighs 5.8 kg, with front-to-rear airflow and a listed long-term operating range of 0 to 45 degrees Celsius.

Check revision and software before replacement

The hardware center lists original 02353AEP alongside -001 and -002 revisions. V600R007C00 is the starting supported version for the original part shown here, not a current software recommendation for every revision. Record the complete part label, intended software, licenses and installed modules before matching a replacement. The listed typical and maximum chassis consumption are 35 W and 40 W; these differ from the 60 W rating of each power module.
