UMA-2C16G Capacity Role

UMA-2C16G corresponds to Huawei hardware code 0235G76X. The official configuration guide assigns this platform to environments managing more than 300 devices and applications and requires it for the management-center role in cluster or hierarchical deployments.

Verified base hardware

Huawei documents two quad-core CPUs, 16 GB memory, two 300 GB SAS system disks in RAID 1 and two 2 TB SATA data disks in RAID 1. The base platform includes storage-node control software, but additional disks, rails, optical drive, monitored-resource licenses, installation and support are separate configuration decisions.

Size the licensed system independently

The chassis does not itself establish the number of managed resources. Count devices and applications, then select the corresponding UMA license or cluster license. Cluster and hierarchical designs use their own licensing rules and should not inherit a standalone license assumption.

Acceptance for the management center

Verify the 0235G76X label, both RAID sets, storage health, operating-system license, network segmentation, time source and audit export. For a clustered design, test management-center failover and node visibility before accepting the platform.
