NIP2100D-AC-01 order identity

NIP2100D-AC-01 is the AC order for Huawei's NIP2100D network intrusion-detection appliance. Huawei's official NIP2000D/5000D table places NIP2100D in the high-tier 100 Mbps class; it should not be described as a generic switch or merged with the older NIP2050 IPS order.

Included hardware and update term

The exact order contains four GE electrical interfaces, four GE combo interfaces, 4 GB of memory and two AC power supplies. Huawei's ordering guide also includes 12 months of the NIP knowledge-base update service, making the update entitlement part of this PID's procurement scope.

Detection role

The D-series documentation focuses on traffic and protocol reconstruction, attack-signature and vulnerability detection, behavioral anomaly detection, server and client attack visibility, malware indicators and traffic-based attack detection. Final deployment still requires an approved monitoring topology, traffic feed and response workflow.

Predeployment checks

Confirm the two AC supplies, interface modules, installed software, signature entitlement dates and whether the design requires passive detection or an inline prevention action. Do not infer a current knowledge-base term from the chassis label after the included 12-month period has elapsed.
