S17 access-switch family target

Confirm which S17-family devices are covered by the quote and compatibility record. The family token must be tied to an inventory list rather than assumed to cover every access switch.

S17 family onboarding begins with an enumerated access-switch list. Sample an edge port, client path and device-health event from each deployment pattern, then keep replacement units synchronized with the entitlement register. A family label alone cannot identify which small access devices are actually covered.

F-code evidence

Preserve F on the purchase order, activation response and renewal. Do not replace it with P1 or P2 based on a product-family resemblance.

For an F-code order, reconcile the exact manufacturer line before entitlement creation, capture the activation response, and attach the target inventory to that record. Operational acceptance then compares the first analytics baseline with the pre-activation network state. A later package change must be processed as a commercial change, not as a silent edit to the existing asset.

three-year Lifecycle

Run an annual compatibility review, a formal midpoint check and a renewal-or-migration decision about six months before the entitlement ends.

Three-year governance combines yearly evidence refreshes with a midpoint technical review. After major software or topology changes, compare telemetry behavior with the accepted baseline. Six months before expiration, choose renewal, target migration or retirement and assign every action to a named owner so the longer contract does not conceal stale coverage.
