Standard FG-5144C DC chassis order

FG-5144C-DC is Fortinet's standard FortiGate 5144C 14U, 14-slot ATCA chassis order. It supplies the carrier-class enclosure, backplane, cooling, DC power-entry hardware and chassis management components. It is not a complete 1.12 Tbps firewall by itself because FortiGate security blades and networking blades are ordered separately.

Included chassis hardware

Fortinet's ordering table lists a 40Gbps dual-dual-star fabric backplane, four power entry modules, four fan units, two shelf FRU data modules, one shelf manager, front and RTM air baffles and four pairs of DC cables for connection to FG-5053B power shelves.

Power and rack requirements

The chassis occupies 14 rack units and is designed for -48VDC/-60VDC input. The chassis guide requires a site-specific breaker, grounding, cable and redundancy design. An FG-5053B shelf with PSU-5000B units is a separate option when AC-to-DC conversion is required.

Configuration boundary

Before ordering, define the security blades, networking blades, transceivers, secondary shelf manager, AC conversion, support and software BOM. Published fully populated system throughput depends on the selected blade population and must not be attributed to this empty chassis SKU.
