PoE order identity

FG-50G-SFP-POE is the 50G SFP model built for powered edge connections. Fortinet lists four hardware-accelerated GE RJ45 PoE/+ ports, including a PoE+ FortiLink port, plus two hardware-accelerated GE WAN ports and one GE SFP slot.

Power budget boundary

The official table gives this branch a 60 W total available PoE budget and notes a maximum of 30 W per PoE/+ port under 802.3at. Receiving teams should budget connected devices across the total rather than treating every port as an independent 30 W supply.

Security performance context

Fortinet reports up to 2.25 Gbps IPS, 1.25 Gbps NGFW and 1.1 Gbps threat-protection throughput for the table. These are test values that vary with configuration; they are not a promise of application throughput.

Procurement checks

Verify the complete -SFP-POE label, included external power adapter, regional compliance, PoE load plan and the separately selected SFP optic. Do not substitute FG-50G-SFP: that non-PoE order has a different RJ45 and WAN layout.
