DC-powered FortiGate 3000F

FG-3000F-DC is the dual-DC-power member of the FortiGate 3000F family. It shares the 3000F security-processing and interface platform but is ordered for sites with a 48–60 VDC plant. It is not the standard AC model or the storage-equipped 3001F.

Interface platform

Fortinet specifies six hardware-accelerated 100GE QSFP28/40GE QSFP+ slots, sixteen 25GE SFP28/10GE SFP+/GE SFP slots including two HA ports, and eighteen 10GBASE-T ports including two management ports. Two short-range 10GE SFP+ transceivers are listed with the appliance.

DC facility requirements

The 2RU chassis includes two DC power supplies for 1+1 redundancy. Validate the 48–60 VDC feeds, breaker and conductor sizing, grounding, A/B power separation, front-to-back airflow and rack depth before installation. An AC replacement is not electrically equivalent even when the network configuration is unchanged.

Security and acceptance boundary

NP7 and CP9 acceleration support the platform's firewall and security services, but subscription bundles, FortiGuard services, optics beyond the listed transceivers and FortiCare coverage are separate procurement decisions. Record FortiOS version, HA design, interface mapping, licenses and tested policy load during acceptance.
