FC-10-FVM02-813-02-60 is a 5 year legacy Enterprise Protection service entitlement for one existing, licensed FortiGate VM02. It is not a FortiGate VM license, deployable image, cloud instance, physical appliance or compute subscription.

Before Approval

A five-year commitment requires lifecycle approval. Compare the contract end date with the virtual-infrastructure roadmap, FortiOS support, capacity forecast and migration budget, then perform annual fitness checks to limit stranded entitlement risk.

For this five-year VM02 line, validate that the virtualization and network architecture can outlive the commercial term. Review queueing, sessions, encrypted inspection and storage of security events annually. A planned cloud migration must trigger an entitlement review before the old instance is decommissioned or cloned.

• Match platform token FVM02 and the registered virtual serial.
• Confirm 60 months from the authorized quote and current expiry record.
• Verify the FortiCare account, deployment platform, FortiOS version and base VM license separately.
• Check for overlapping ATP, UTP, legacy Enterprise or current Enterprise or marketplace coverage.
• Record HA, backup, event-retention and signature-update ownership.

VM Capacity Tier

Fortinet documents FortiGate VM02 for up to 2 vCPUs; actual performance depends on the deployment platform and traffic mix. It is a two-vCPU virtual firewall tier. VM02 supports a larger virtual firewall allocation than VM01 but remains tied to the licensed CPU level. Preserve the instance identity, availability-zone or host placement, routing adjacencies and recovery runbook. A subscription renewal cannot resize the workload, move it between clouds or correct an underprovisioned design.

Acceptance evidence should include the two-vCPU allocation, cloud instance family, route ownership and the reason this tier is preferred over consolidation. Preserve a before-and-after record whenever the instance is resized or moved.

Fortinet's current Enterprise Protection tier combines ATP and UTP services, then adds advanced DLP, attack-surface security monitoring and risk scoring, AI-based inline malware prevention, and IoT detection/vulnerability correlation.
