Three-Year FortiAnalyzer Cloud Logging Plan for FortiGate 50G-5G

FC-10-F50G5-585-02-36 provides three years of FortiAnalyzer Cloud service for one eligible FortiGate 50G-5G. Fortinet uses the -585 service family for per-device cloud logging and analytics. This electronic entitlement does not include a FortiGate, a FortiAnalyzer appliance, SOC analysts or unlimited ingestion capacity.

Confirm the device and account before activation

Record the exact FortiGate serial number, FortiCloud account owner, service region and contract start date. Fortinet documents a FortiAnalyzer Cloud instance at the FortiCloud-account level, so administrators should agree on account ownership and delegated access before the subscription is registered.

Build an ingestion baseline during onboarding

Enable only the required traffic, event and security logs, then measure ordinary days and incident peaks. Compare observed volume with the allowance that applies to the device class and current Fortinet release. Additional daily capacity is a separate ordering decision when the baseline is insufficient; the three-year SKU should not be represented as unlimited storage or ingestion.

Verify the logging path

Confirm supported FortiOS, internet reachability, contract visibility and cloud-certificate authorization. Check that logs arrive under the correct device identity and timestamp, then test search, reports, alerting and administrator roles. Preserve screenshots or exported evidence with the activation record.

Operate a three-stage review cycle

Use year one to stabilize forwarding and dashboards, year two to tune reports and capacity thresholds, and year three to prepare renewal or migration. Investigate missing-log intervals, unexpected volume changes, role changes and failures after FortiOS or Security Fabric updates.

Ordering boundary

Confirm the complete SKU, eligible serial, FortiCloud tenant, region and 36-month term on the quotation. Hardware, FortiGate Cloud, SOCaaS, implementation labor, non-FortiGate source licensing and extra capacity remain separate unless explicitly listed.
