Traffic and Evidence Review

The platform token F100F maps this entitlement to a diskless F-series campus edge firewall. Record the 100F serial, LAN and WAN zones, FortiLink traffic, HA state, IPS profiles, application paths and central collector for this annual entitlement.

Use the one-year review to remove exclusions tied to retired applications and departed owners. Check encrypted and uncommon protocols, branch-to-cloud flows and identity-aware policies without converting troubleshooting bypasses into permanent rules.

Annual acceptance includes a controlled IPS block, expected allowed traffic, failover logging and central event ownership. Record the next review date and exception expiries before renewal.

The 100F annual review should compare sensors with current branch applications, cloud paths and identity groups. Remove exclusions whose requester has left or whose application was retired, then test uncommon and encrypted protocols separately. Verify that failover does not interrupt event delivery to the central collector. Renewal evidence must list every remaining exception, its owner, compensating control and next review date.

Code 108 Scope

Fortinet identifies service code 108 as IPS. The service supports signature-based detection and protocol analysis for identifying and blocking malicious traffic, including malicious URL and botnet indicators used by IPS controls. It is distinct from antivirus, web filtering, hardware support and a managed SOC service.
