Arrange the two sides of the entry point
The external unit provides a call button and locating LED. Position it for the intended users rather than installing it at an arbitrary counter height. The staff side uses a combined loudspeaker and adjustable microphone with a mute switch.
Preserve the external enclosure protection
The installation guide makes IP55 protection dependent on correct installation of the K009-IP entry unit. Maintain the enclosure seal and mount against a suitable flat surface. This rating is not a blanket permission to expose the amplifier and power supply outdoors.
Plan wiring and commissioning
The K009-IP connection requires two sets of the optional extension leads when extending the cable run. Follow the guide for amplifier connections and counter hearing-loop placement, then test both speech directions and the loop at the actual user position.
