FPR2130-NGFW-K9 is the Cisco Firepower 2130 NGFW appliance order with one network-module bay in a 1 RU chassis. The base connections comprise twelve copper Gigabit Ethernet ports and four fixed SFP+ ports that accept 1 or 10 Gbps links. This is a firewall appliance, and the optional bay provides interface expansion rather than converting it into a campus access switch.

Distinguish a bay from the supplied module

The network-module slot can accommodate supported Firepower expansion interfaces, but a bay in the hardware specification does not mean a module is included in the quotation. Network modules are not hot-swappable. Keep the selected module and optics on separate order lines and plan an interruption for installation or replacement.

Power and serviceability in the 2130

Cisco documents two power-supply slots and a hot-swappable fan tray. Its standard hardware description lists one AC supply for the 2130, whereas the 2140 description lists two. Verify the actual supplied configuration if redundant power is required; do not infer two fitted supplies from the existence of two slots.

Check lifecycle and serial-specific remediation

FPR2130-NGFW-K9 is included in the amended Cisco end-of-sale notice and in FN74199. Sales ended May 27, 2025; new service attachment ended May 27, 2026; the final support date is May 31, 2030 under applicable entitlement. Validate the chassis serial number for the memory notice and record any remediation. Neither the NGFW suffix nor an unverified model match establishes active subscriptions or a clean serial-number result.
