C9300-24UX-A Standard Multigigabit UPOE Model

C9300-24UX-A supplies twenty-four multigigabit UPOE access interfaces supporting 100 Mbps and 1, 2.5, 5 or 10 Gbps. It uses modular uplinks and Network Advantage. This is the standard 24UX platform; the separate C9300-24UXB-A adds a higher-scale, deep-buffer B identity and has different power data.

Access-speed acceptance

Create a matrix of endpoint NIC capability, desired negotiated speed, cable category and tested permanent-link length. Validate each high-speed link under real PoE load. Ports may negotiate down when the endpoint or cable plant cannot support the target speed, so commissioning evidence should record the observed result rather than the configured maximum.

PoE scope for this exact model

Cisco supported-hardware records list a 490 W PoE budget with an 1100 W AC supply for C9300-24UX. Use that exact model reference when planning powered endpoints; do not copy the 560 W figure from 24UXB or the 830 W figure from 24U/24UB. Recalculate available power for the installed redundancy arrangement.

Wireless-edge design check

Where multigigabit UPOE is selected for access points, verify the AP Ethernet mode, required power class, controller/software support and uplink capacity as one system. A high negotiated access speed does not ensure that controller, WAN or upstream switching capacity can carry the aggregate traffic.
