C9300-24UB-A Deep-Buffer 1G UPOE Configuration

C9300-24UB-A provides twenty-four 10/100/1000 UPOE access ports on Cisco's higher-scale, deep-buffer Catalyst 9300 platform. It uses modular uplinks and Network Advantage. Unlike the C9300-24UXB-A, this PID is a 1G copper access model rather than a multigigabit model.

1G access with higher-scale hardware

Confirm why the B platform is required when endpoint links remain at 1G. Relevant evidence can include scale objectives, burst handling, queueing design or consistency with an installed higher-scale stack. Do not describe this model as multigigabit simply because it belongs to the same higher-scale family as 24UXB.

UPOE power allocation

Cisco lists an 830 W PoE budget with an 1100 W AC supply for this model family. Build the endpoint power schedule from actual requested classes and startup behavior, then calculate the load that remains supportable after a supply or StackPower-path failure. Keep the validated schedule with the port map.

Modular uplink decision

The base chassis does not define the final uplink port mix. Add the compatible C9300 network module and supported media to the order after checking upstream interfaces, bandwidth, optical distance and port-channel topology. Preserve the module PID in asset records.

Stack and software control

Cisco records StackWise-480 and StackPower support plus Network Advantage for this PID. Before joining an existing stack, validate member hardware and IOS XE compatibility. Register the subscription and entitlement to the correct Smart Account and retain configuration and license evidence for replacement.
