C9300-24P-E PoE+ Essentials Configuration

C9300-24P-E provides twenty-four 1G copper PoE+ access ports on the modular-uplink Catalyst 9300 platform. Its P suffix identifies PoE+ hardware, and E identifies Network Essentials. It is not interchangeable with the non-PoE 24T-E merely because both have twenty-four copper ports.

Endpoint power schedule

List every phone, camera, access point and other powered device with requested power class, expected peak draw, cable path and startup sequence. Cisco model records associate this PID family with a 715 W AC supply and a listed PoE budget; verify the exact available power for the ordered and installed supply combination rather than allocating from the PSU nameplate.

Power-failure acceptance

Define which endpoints must remain powered after a supply or StackPower path fails. Test representative load, power negotiation and endpoint recovery. If the required survivable load exceeds the validated budget, revise the supply, stack-power design or endpoint allocation before deployment.

Essentials feature boundary

Keep a written list of required switching, routing, policy and management outcomes and compare it with Cisco's current Network Essentials capabilities for the selected IOS XE release and software term. A PoE hardware decision does not determine the license features, and an entitlement change cannot increase physical PoE capacity.

Complete modular-uplink order

Add the appropriate compatible network module, optics or direct-attach cables to the bill of materials. Validate upstream speed, media, distance and port-channel behavior. Preserve the Smart Account destination, subscription term, stack topology and configuration backup for commissioning.
