Size the access layer using the correct performance row

This 48P-4X configuration has a published standalone forwarding rate of 130.95 Mpps, measured with 64-byte packets. The corresponding switching capacity is 176 Gbps. These are different measurements: packet rate is not a bandwidth figure, and neither should be doubled when copying the specification. Cisco lists 256 Gbps capacity and 190 Mpps forwarding with stacking.

Choose the uplinks before ordering optics

Four fixed SFP+ uplinks provide the 1/10 Gigabit connection options identified by 4X. They are not the four 1G-only SFP uplinks on a 4G variant and are not a removable uplink module. Specify compatible transceivers or cables and the intended link speed separately.

Plan PoE and stacking as a configuration

The P model provides PoE+ access, while Cisco lists PWR-C5-1KWAC as its default power supply. Confirm the delivered supply count and endpoint power requirements instead of assuming a fully populated redundant configuration. StackWise-80 uses the C9200L stacking kit and appropriate cables; stacking accessories must be checked on the quotation. Fixed fans distinguish this chassis from modular C9200 hardware.

Match the E software order

The E suffix identifies Network Essentials. Record the entitlement, software release and any separate subscription requirement for the actual purchase. Do not substitute an A-tier order or assume that optics, stacking accessories and support contracts are included merely because the base switch is listed.
