C1000-24P-4G-L is a Cisco Catalyst 1000 fixed switch with 24 x 10/100/1000 RJ-45 PoE+ access ports and 4 x 1G SFP uplink slots. Power boundary: 195 W total PoE budget.

Exact selection decision

Build a port-by-port endpoint power sheet and include startup draw, class, redundancy need and spare capacity. Twenty-four PoE-capable ports do not mean all can deliver the maximum class simultaneously within 195 W.

Uplink and capacity plan

Map every uplink to optic or copper media, peer, speed, LACP group, spanning-tree role and failure behavior. Calculate access-to-uplink oversubscription from the exact port speeds; a shared four-uplink count does not make the FE, Gigabit, PoE and non-PoE models interchangeable.

Receiving and acceptance evidence

Load-test the actual phone, camera or AP mix, confirm denied-power behavior and preserve measured budget headroom. Separately verify all four 1G uplink optics and failover.

Software and lifecycle record

Record serial, installed Cisco IOS release, configuration backup, management access, VLANs, security controls and supported transceivers. Cisco has announced end of sale for the Catalyst 1000 family, so verify serial-specific support and migration timing before a new deployment.
