ACX5448-R-DC-AFI Overview
The Juniper Networks ACX5400 Universal Metro Routers are top-of-rack routers with deep packet buffer solutions for metro network or aggregation environments. The ACX5400 router portfolio consists of high-performance, fixed-configuration, 1 U routers that add higher port densities, additional scalability, and improved latency to the ACX Series. The routers have a high-throughput Packet Forwarding Engine, which provides full duplex throughput of 800 Gbps.
The ACX5400 routers have a high-throughput Packet Forwarding Engine, and the performance of the control plane running on ACX5400 routers is enhanced by the 1.9-Ghz six-core Intel CPU with 32-GB of memory and two 100-GB enterprise-grade solid-state drives (SSDs) for storage.
The ACX5448-D enables Ethernet aggregation and packet-optical convergence, allowing network operators to build a 100GbE infrastructure tailored to the specific demands of each network node.
ACX5448-D-DC-AFI is a 1U packet-optical convergence universal metro router designed for service provider aggregation, 5G mobile backhaul, and fiber transport applications. It delivers 800 Gbps throughput with 36×SFP+/SFP (1GbE/10GbE), 2×CFP2-DCO (100/200G DWDM), and 2×QSFP28 (40GbE/100GbE) ports, running on Junos OS with full L2/L3, IP/MPLS, EVPN, and timing capabilities.
This model uses dual redundant DC power supplies and hot-swappable fan modules with back-to-front (AFI) airflow for high availability. It supports SyncE and IEEE 1588v2 PTP for precise synchronization; advanced features and port rights are provided as separate right-to-use licenses for flexible, pay-as-you-grow deployment.
