Cisco Nexus N35-FS-48X Fusion supports multiple channel pairing modes including FastMux, Mux, and Switch with different features and latency:FastMux mode is the fastest channel adapter available. It only provides 10G Ethernet connectivity with limited buffering, channel allocation based on broadcast layer 1. FastMux is designed for systems that do not have much transmission dispute and only require speed, such as electronic trading systems.Mux mode offers 1G and 10G Ethernet options, with the ability to flexibly switch between these speeds. It also offers Layer 2 and Vlan-based channel allocation, which is very useful on low-latency long-range wireless networks where multiple customers request access to the same radio link.Similar to Mux mode, Switch mode offers more compressed decompression options. In addition, it offers an unlimited number of mux, allowing users more flexibility in their network configuration.
